WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- DC Police say at 12:53 p.m. they received a call to assist Metro Transit Police with what appeared to be a gang fight of teenagers on the Metro platform at Union Station.
Terrified witnesses say they were caught between warring gangs and had to crawl under seats to get away.
DC Fire and EMS report one teenage male has been transported with serious but not life threatening injuries from an assault.
Metro Transit Police now say there were no shots fired and the incident appears to be a robbery. The mother of the victim said her son was attacked for his shoes. Police can confirm the shoes are missing.
