WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police have arrested a fifth man in a fatal drive-by shooting in southeast Washington.
Police say they arrested 21-year-old Jeffrey D. Best in southeast D.C. just before 9 a.m. Monday. Best faces four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony murder.
Best and four others have been charged in the shootings on March 22 and March 30 that killed a total of five people. The violence included a drive-by shooting targeting friends of the first victim who had attended his funeral earlier in the day.
Police Chief Cathy Lanier says it is the final arrest in the case.
