Maurice Fearwell Arrested in Connection With Two Attempted Robberies in D.C.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with two attempted bank robberies in DC, police said.

The suspect, 20-year-old Maurice Fearwell, was arrested after the robberies which occured in the 1200 block of K Street, NW and in the 900 block of K Street, NW, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The first attempted robbery occurred on Monday, April 1, at approximately 11:25 A.M, as the suspect entered the Suntrust Bank located in the 1200 block of K Street, NW, approached the teller and presented a note demanding money and fled the scene without any money. Then, the suspect went to the Bank of America located in the 900 block of K Street, NW, and demanded money as before but fled the scene empty handed, police said in a press release.
