WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Metropolitan Police Department officials say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back and leg on Sunday night.
The shooting was first reported around 11:51 p.m. in the 900 block of Valley Avenue Southeast, say police. The victim was found with gunshot wounds to the back and leg, and he was transported to the hospital.
Police say two black males left the scene in a red, two-door vehicle headed towards 1300 block of Southern Avenue. According to police, one of them is described as having a light complexion and a slim build.
