WASHINGTON (AP) -- DC Police announced on Saturday that a private school employee in southeast Washington fought off an intruder who tried to sexually assault her. It happened hours before an attack at another school.
Authorities said the first attack happened early Thursday morning at the Naylor Road School. A man apparently grabbed the victim, but she managed to escape. A police spokesman confirms the attack occurred inside the school building. It wasn't clear if any students were present.
Police said they also arrested a Prince George's County man in another attempted sexual assault Thursday inside a school in southeast Washington. The second attack occurred at the Harris Educational Center at the Community College of D.C. Police charged 20-year-old Jamal Coleman of Fort Washington in the second attack.
Detectives do not believe the cases are related.
