WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- D.C. police have identified the man who was shot multiple times in an alley and then ran to the street before collapsing on Wednesday night.
Police say it was 25-year-old Anthony Weathers of Suitland, Md. whow as shot in the back alley of the 300 block of V Street, NE. They say after he was shot, he ran through the alley, across 4th Street, and collapsed in the 2000 block of 4th Street, NE, where he was found by officers shortly before 9:50 p.m.
According to police, Weathers lost consciousness and was treated by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel before dying. He was then transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia for an autopsy.
Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone with information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting. If you have information, please call police at 202-727-9099 or send a text to 50411.
