WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- D.C. police say they are conducting a death investigation at 419 Newton Place NW this morning.
A local firefighters union tweeted that firefighters received a report of an unconscious male inside the house and found a small fire on the second floor with the male. It also tweeted that CPR was performed on the male and he was taken to the hospital. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
DC Fire officials say that the man was on oxygen and oxygen was involved in the fire, but they are still investigating what happened to cause the fire and the man's death.
