WASHINGTON (WUSA) - A man fatally shot near the Gallaudet University campus in northeast Washington has been identified as 21-year-old Gregory Darnell Troxler of Northeast D.C.
The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon in the 1100 block of 8th Street, between L Street and Florida Avenue. Troxler was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where he was pronounced dead.
Wednesday, police Chief Cathy Lanier says neither the victim nor shooting was connected to the university.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. The department offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a homicide.
