WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- According to The Washington Post, Over 40 bars and restaurants in D.C. will stay open until 4 a.m. on Monday, to test a new city policy.

This policy, made possible by The D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration, Mayor Gray, and the D.C. Council, could allow extended alcohol sales before holidays.

The Washington Post reports that Mayor Gray believes the extended hours could raise an additional $3 million in revenue from alcohol sales.
