WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - Two workers were aided by the DC Fire Department after the scaffold they were working on collapsed Thursday, leaving them dangling by their safety harnesses.
The men were working at 1401 Constitution Ave. NW. DCFD's high angle rescue team responded to a call just after 3. p.m. Rescuers assisted one man who was almost on the ground, then helped the other down from the side of the building by using a bucket truck.
The workers were not hurt and did not require medical assistance.
Both men were saved because they were wearing their safety harnesses, according to Fire Chief Brian Lee said.
