ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) - Arlington Police charged a Washington, D.C. man on Friday with murder for his role in a recent jewelry store homicide.

James Sylvester Caroline, 52,  who was arrested for probation violations, has now been charged with murder in the July 29 shooting death of Tommy Wong. Wong, 52, was the owner of Capital Jewelers in Arlington.

Arlington and D.C. police have been working to determine if the suspect is also connected to a June 9 robbery of a jewelry store in Northwest D.C.

According to court documents, Caroline has 6 probation violations all regarding credit card thefts and fraud.

Caroline is being held without bond on the murder charge.

Vivian Wong says, "We are so relieved. My father can truly rest in peace."  Tommy Wong's funeral was held Thursday in Herndon.

Murder in the commission of an armed robbery is potentially a capital offense in Virginia -- punishable by death. Both Vivian Wong an her brother Desmond say they're uncomfortable calling for anyone's death. But they say they want justice for their father.
