WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The 800 block of Vermont Avenue is closed after the report of a suspicious package inside the Veterans Affairs Building in DC.

The FBI says it responded for the report of a letter with white powder, which it has determined to be no threat, no hazard.

In working on the incident with DC Fire, the FBI first concentrated on the floor of the building where the letter was found.

The FBI says the DC Fire Department was then working its way down, floor by floor, throughout the building.

FBI says it has determined no threat or hazard and has have cleared the incident.

We are awaiting further details from the DC Fire Department.
