WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Check your sockets and lamps for a lighting danger tonight. More than half a million LED light bulbs are being recalled.

The 6, 8 or 9 watt bulbs are sold under brand names like Definity, EcoSmart, Sylvania and Westinghouse.

They can overheat or cause fire danger to fixtures, rugs, carpets, floors and circuits.

Be on the lookout for model numbers: A19, G25 and R20/PAR20.

You'll find them on the packaging or on the light colored circular  neck above the base of the bulb.
