WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Another sign that the housing market is on the rebound.

Foreclosure rates reached a five year low in September.

And that means fewer families were forced to leave their homes.

RealtyTrac reports it is the second straight month of declines in foreclosure filings.

The number of homes entering foreclosure are at the lowest level since late 2007.
