FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man died in an accident on I-70 eastbound in Maryland on Monday night after the tractor trailer he was in rolled off the road.
According to Maryland State Police, at approximately 10:49 p.m., troopers responded to a single vehicle collision on I-70 eastbound east of Monument Rd. They found that a 2009 Peterbilt truck tractor pulling a flatbed trailer was traveling eastbound. Forty-four-year-old Raymond Kulkowski of Russelton, Pa. lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway.
The tractor trailer rolled over, trapping Kulkowski inside the vehicle. A heavy duty tow truck was used to gain access to Kulkowski, according to police.
Police say Kulkowski was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
