WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) -- Charles County authorities say they have found a 17-year-old boy with autism who was reported missing after a shopping trip with his family.
According the sheriff's office officials, on Wednesday Diamonte Godoy was shopping with family members at the Walmart located at 11930 Acton Lane in Waldorf, Md. He left the business without telling his family. Authorities say surveillance video indicates he left at approximately 8:29 p.m.
At approximately 9 a.m. authorities reported that Godoy was found Thursday morning at Miller's Farm in the 10400 block of Piscataway Road in Clinton, Md. They say an off-duty officer noticed the teen seemed to be disoriented. When Prince George's County Police responded and ran a computer check, they found that he had been reported missing. The teen was safe and unharmed and was re-united with his family, say authorities.
