Reuben Lord charged with attempted 1st degree murder and assault in Takoma Park Stabbing

TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man was arrested for attempted murder and armed robbery for a stabbing on Sunday, Takoma Park police said in a news release. 

Reuben V. Lord, 30, of Takoma Park, stabbed a man waiting for an elevator on the 600 block of Houston Avenue in Takoma Park, police said. 

"The victim was waiting for the elevator on the first floor of the apartment building when an unknown male came up behind him and began stabbing him with a knife. After stabbing the victim, the suspect walked outside the building, spoke to a heavy set black female subject and then fled the area on foot," police said in a news release. 

Police arrested Lord on Tuesday. He's charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, Theft and Reckless Endangerment, police said. 

"Lord was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit without incident. The victim in this incident has been released from the hospital and is recovering," police said.
