WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) Google's analysis of 2013 inauguration tweets show a tenfold increase compared to 2009.
Twitter's politics and government team counted 1.1 million inauguration related tweets Monday during the ceremony compared to about 82,000 in the President's first inauguration.
Twitter reported tweets peaked when the president was pushing for including all Americans under an umbrella of more inclusive equality.
"We cannot mistake absolutism for principle...name calling as a substitute for debate," the President was saying at the highest exchange of inaugural related tweets.
Twitter reported 27,795 tweets per minute during that moment in the speech.
