WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- I remember when I was younger and looked forward to wearing the latest pair of Air Jordan's on the basketball court. Now, four elite schools including No. 15 Georgetown, will test drive the popular new Air Jordans this week.
After Georgetown received its sixth consecutive win on Monday, the Hoyas will square off against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Friday in Cincinnati wearing the Electric Green colorway of the Air Jordan XX8.
The Blue Camo version is expected to be worn by North Carolina, California and Marquette, while Georgetown is expected to wear the Black/Electric Green colorway.
NBA's Russell Westbrook rocks the Electric Green colorway Air Jordan XX8's during regular season play.
Nike, Inc. reports that the 28th shoe in the Air Jordan franchise features more technological advances than any Air Jordan to date.
On Saturday, the new kicks will be available to the public.
