WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Cherry Blossom time is boom-time for the Washington-area economy.

Last year, 1.5 million people visited during the festival -- translating into a $170 million economic boost for the region -- and restaurants like Westend Bistro in the Ritz Carlton are ready for the party with special offerings.

Chef Devin Bozkaya joined us with a sampling of the four-course tasting menu that he will have at Westend Bistro, which is inspired by a Japanese theme in recognition of their gift to us of cherry blossom tree. The first course is going to be tuna with a sake and granita.

Chef Bozkaya talked to us about some other items on the menu as well.
