(USA Today) -- In July, Kanye West got mad at photographers who were surrounding him at LAX. He wound up getting ticked off and lunging at one cameraman.
Police got involved. The photographer hired Gloria Allred. And now, TMZ reports that Kanye has been charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft for grabbing at the camera.
Photographer Daniel Ramos claims West punched him during the incident, AP reports.
City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan also tells AP that Kim Kardashian's sweetie and baby North's daddy will be arraigned on Oct. 10, but he is not required to appear if he has an attorney.
Prosecutors declined to file felony charges against West. Instead, the star faces misdemeanor charges, each of which carries a penalty of up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine.
