WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Parents, caregivers and homeowners use monitoring devices for security and peace of mind.

But, the Federal Trade Commission says TrendNet had so many flaws in its SecurView cameras that hackers were able to access the homes of 700 customers and then post live links all over the Internet.

The FTC slapped TrendNet with sanctions that include security audits for the next 20 years.
