WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- What we've seen over the last few weeks is a brand trying to salvage its image.
Abercrombie and Fitch has been publicly ravaged this month after comments from CEO Mike Jeffries. They re-surfaced from a 2006 interview in which Jeffries justified not selling clothing larger than a size 10 to women because they only want the brand to be sported by "cool, good-looking people."
Since then Jeffries has said he's sorry but he's not changing anything.
Jeffries said A & F targets its marketing at a particular segment of customers, however, the company cares about the communities in which it operates and is strongly committed to diversity and inclusion.
