WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Give credit where credit is due.

An American Bankers Association report finds credit card delinquencies have reached an 18 year low.

The ABA says that about 2.5 percent of bank-issued credit card accounts were behind in the fourth quarter of last year.

Late payments also fell on home equity loans, home improvement loans and third party auto loans.

Analysts say it's a sign that more homeowners could be trying to pay down their debt.
