WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Monster Energy Drinks is making some changes.

According to industry reports, the high power beverage will now use federal guidelines for food products on its ingredients list.

The company will list nutrition facts instead of supplement facts, and tel how much caffeine is actually in the drink.

The change is in response to criticism over possible health problems and deaths linked to the energy drink.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is investigating whether energy drinks can be dangerous to people with hear problems.
