WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- If you have had problems will your cell phone after Hurricane Sandy, you are far from being alone.
The cell phone companies are still working to get the power back to a quarter of their cell towers and resume broadband Internet and television services.
The head of the FCC says cell service will get worse before it gets better.
Many towers have been running on backup battery power, fueled by generators. But crews are having trouble getting to some of the generators because of flooding. Once they go down and batteries die, additional towers are expected to go dark.
