Hillary Rodham Clinton says wait until next year on her political plans.

"Obviously, I will look carefully at what I think I can do and make that decision sometime next year," Clinton told ABC's Barbara Walters about whether she'll seek the presidency. "It's such a difficult decision, and it's one that I'm not going to rush into ... and I don't think we should be looking at the next election."

Clinton's comments — made as Walters interviewed her for being the "Most Fascinating Person of 2013" — are consistent with what the former secretary of State and former president Bill Clinton have been saying all along about the 2016 presidential race.

Sure, the 2016 election is more than two years away but it is The Question that Clinton and the former president always get asked when they sit down with reporters.

As she has done in other interviews, Clinton told Waters that the focus right now should be on issues such as the nation's high unemployment rate, creating jobs, and helping small businesses and poor people.

Clinton did, however, offer a guess as to what her husband would be called if she ran for president and won.

"I have no idea," she said, with a laugh. "First mate, I don't know."
