BETHESDA, Md. (USA Today) - Bill Haas pulled away from the crowd at the top of the leaderboard Sunday with a 5-under 66 to win the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club.

It's the fifth PGA Tour title for Haas, who finished up on 18 in front of tournament host and defending champion Tiger Woods.

Woods did not play this year because of a strained left elbow.

Roberto Castro (69) finished alone in second, three shots back.

Haas was in a four-way tie for the lead - with Castro, James Driscoll and Adres Romero - when the round began, and there were 10 players within four shots of the lead when the day began. As many as six players had a share of the lead on Sunday.

Haas pulled away with three consecutive birdies beginning at No. 8, then added two more at 14 and 16.

Haas has at least one win in four consecutive seasons, matched only by Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose.
