Reese Witherspoon Arrest DASH CAM VIDEO -- Crazier Than You Thought

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- "Ma'am, what did I just tell you to do?" says a police officer

"I'd like to know what's going on," replies a woman.

That's how the dash cam video that resulted in actress Reese Witherspoon's recent arrest starts. TMZ obtained the video and posted it on its website.

The officer can be seen and heard talking to the actress, who was told to stay in the car while the officer was dealing with her husband, Jim Toth.

"I'm a US citizen. I'm allowed to stand on American ground ... and ask any question I want to ask," you can hear Witherspoon tell the officer.

The officer walks towards her and grabs her rest.

"You better not arrest me," the actress tells him.

Well, we all know how that ended. She was charged with disorderly conduct while Toth was charged with DUI.

Reese Witherspoon said on Good Morning America on Thursday that "We went out to dinner in Atlanta, had one too many glasses of wine. We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not. And it's just completely unacceptable. And we are so sorry and embarrassed. And we know better."

When asked about her "Do you know my name?" statement to the officer, she told Good Morning America, "I have no idea what I was saying that night. I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant! I said crazy things."

She says that she's learned that "When a police officer tells you to stay in the car, you stay in the car."
