WASHINGTON (WUSA9) --  Singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is teaming up with Goodwill to "raise awareness about Goodwill's mission of transforming lives through the power of work," announced Goodwill Industries International in a press release on Monday.

Beyoncé had this message about the partnership on her Facebook page on Monday: "Goodwill helps people get back to work by providing education, job training and placement. I wanted to team up with an organization that puts people first and works every day to help them improve and re-establish their lives."

Goodwill says it will have mobile donation centers for clothing, electronics, and household goods at all of Beyoncé's North American concerts for The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, starting June 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  The revenue from the donations will benefit local Goodwill agencies in those 24 cities.

According to Goodwill,  "Beyoncé will also help build awareness of Goodwill's mission through in-concert education, social media and online ticket auctions." Charitybuzz.com will auction special ticket packages for the tour with the proceeds benefitting Goodwill, added the organization.
