WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Lady Gaga was devastated to announce to her little monsters that she has to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour.
"Im so sorry. I barely know what to say," The pop diva wrote on her Facebook page. "I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened."
On Wednesday morning, additional tests were taken of Lady Gaga where it was determined that she has a "labral tear of the right hip," her rep said in a statement.
It read, "She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover."
Lady Gaga wrote on Facebook that she was hiding her injury for some time because she didn't want to disappoint her "amazing fans."
"I've been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff (too). However after last night's performance I could not walk and still can't," she said.
The cancellations include her show at the Verizon Center on Feb. 25. Refunds to canceled performances will be available starting Thursday, Feb. 14.
