(USA Today) -- The glamorous, and sometimes not so glamorous, world of pop star Ke$ha will soon be on display for everyone to see. MTV just announced a new all-access docu-series, Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, which will premiere in April.
The show will follow the singer as she deals with the ups, downs and drama of her personal and professional life.
"I'm revealing a more complete picture of what my life is really like," Ke$ha said on MTV's late-night comedy show Nikki & Sara LIVE.
The series was shot over two years by her filmmaker brother, Lagan Sebert. Viewers see her story unfold in real time, and because of the sibling bond of trust, there are no filters. Throughout, Ke$ha strives to meet the expectations set by her initial success, while attempting to find love and have normal relationships as she grows more famous.
"Journalists live and die by the story," said executive producer Sebert in a statement. "I realized that the most amazing story was happening in my own family and it became my mission to document it."
The latest single off Ke$ha's sophomore album, Warrior, is C'mon, which follows the hit Die Young. She released debut album Animal in 2010, which produced hits Tik Tok and Your Love Is My Drug.
