WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- It might be fall, but the National Cherry Blossom Festival is holding the first ever Sing into Spring competition. You could win a chance to sing at the parade.
Spokeswoman Danielle Davis talked to us on Friday about the competition. Up to 20 finalists will be chosed from online submission to perform live at Hard Rock Café Washington, DC in early January 2014. The finalist event is free and open to the public. The final winners will be announced that night.

Singers have until November 15 to apply online. The competition is open to anyone from DC, Maryland, and Virginia, ages 8 and up. Note: those under 18 years old require parental consent.
The parade is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 on Constitution Avenue, NW. It is free and open to the public.
