MIDDLEBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- A fire destroyed a home in Middleburg on Saturday, leaving an estimated $1 million worth of damage behind.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. fire and rescue units from Middleburg, Aldie, Philomont, Round Hill and Fauquier County were sent to a house fire at 23406 Korea Lane. They found the large house with significant fire and smoke conditions, according to officials.

The home was in a rural location so units requested a tanker task force to supply additional water to fight the fire. Crews worked outside the home the entire time due to the severity of the fire, say officials.

Officials tell us no one was in the home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire.
