STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after a car hit him on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail on Tuesday night.
According to authorities, at 6 p.m. a Nissan Altima was traveling north on Sterling Boulevard when he entered the left turn lane, passing vehicles in the through lane that were stopped. The Altima entered the crosswalk for the W & OD trail, say authorities, and struck a 37-year-old bicyclist from Reston, Va.
Authorities say the bicyclist was taken to Reston Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges are pending, say authorities.
