LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA9) - Giant Food says it has removed products recalled by Talenti® Gelato & Sorbetto.

Talenti German Chocolate Cake Gelato was recalled due to undeclared almond, an allergen, on the ingredient label, according to Giant Food. Here is the item that was recalled:

• Talenti German Chocolate Cake Gelato, 16 oz., UPC 18685200063, Best By Dates of 11/04/2014 M1, 11/24/2014 M1, and 11/24/2014 M2

Giant says it has not received reports of illnesses, but "people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product." Officials say the gelato is safe to eat if you do not suffer from an almond allergy. Customers with concerns, however, should throw away any unused gelato and bring their receipts to Gianf for a refund.
