Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Sports Network) - Top seed Bojana Jovanovski rallied for a three-set victory Thursday and became the lone seeded player to reach the semifinals at the Tashkent Open.

Jovanovski rebounded from an ugly first set to claim a 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win over seventh-seeded Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan. The Serb reached her first semifinal of 2013 and is trying for her second career WTA title. She won last year's event Baku for her maiden crown.

Next up will be Spain's Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor, who cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win over third-seeded Yvonne Meusburger of Austria. Torro-Flor, who lost to Jovanovski in the first round of the Australian Open earlier this year, will also play in her first semifinal of the year. Her best previous result was a quarterfinal loss in Bogota back in February.

Olga Govortsova of Belarus and Luxembourg's Mandy Minella will meet in the other semifinal after earning straight-set wins Thursday. Govortsova thumped fifth-seeded Romanian Alexandra Cadantu, 6-3, 6-2, while Minella knocked off Italy's Nastassja Burnett, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5.

Minella, trying for her first WTA title, will play in her second semifinal of 2013. She lost to Lourdes Dominguez Lino in the Moroccan Grand Prix final four back in April.

Govortsova hasn't won a tournament, but has been to three WTA finals. Her last came three years ago in Ponte Vedra Beach.
