BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Day three of the 2013 AT & T National Golf Tournament at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda is heating up.

Four guys are at seven under, taking the lead.

WUSA 9 is covering the tournament, which benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation. Tiger Woods said to reporters on Wednesday, "This tourney means so much to us at the foundation and what we're able to do. We've raised $15 million here for the DC area, the two learning centers here, we have 25 Rhoades Scholars who are from here, so to us it's a very important week."

Thursday afternoon, we wanted to know what the players eat, so we got a sneak peek at what's for lunch. Chef Joe Piazzo is responsible for feeding 3,000 people during his first tour event.

He told us, "Menus are developed and then sent through the AT&T nutritionist for approval. We get the okay and then we go with that. The grains, heavy on the carbs, energy food for these guys, protein."

Protein like smoked meats and slow roasted top rounds for the players' club. The chef says the general public is watching the players and their waistlines too, which means he's tweaking the menus as players perfect their strokes.

The tournament will be a festive atmosphere, but you should know there are strict rules to follow on the golf course.
