John Thomas Cook IV, theft charges in Anne Arundel County
HANOVER, Md. (WUSA) -- A 22-year-old Maryland man has been arrested for stealing a safe from a business in the Arundel Mills Mall.
Anne Arundel County Police Department authorities say John Thomas Cook IV of Millersville, Md. is charged with theft from $10,000 to under $100,000. They also say charges are pending against a second suspect.

On Sunday at approximately 11:04 a.m., police say officers went to the Gold Rush kiosk inside the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover to investigate a report that a safe had been stolen from the business. Witnesses provided information and detectives reviewed surveillance footage which lead to a mall security officer being identified as a suspect.
Monday afternoon, officers served a search warrant at a house in Millersville and another search warrant was executed at a house later in the day in Glen Burnie.
Police say that during the searches, officers found jewelry and money belonging to the Gold Rush kiosk.
Cook was then arrested and charged.
The investigation is ongoing.
