WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Fifty-thousand people showed up to participate in the 2010 Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure on the National Mall on Saturday, June 5.
Up to 75% of the net proceeds raised will help fund life saving breast cancer programs in the D.C. area. The remaining dollars support the Komen Global Promise Fund, which is dedicated to helping people around the world.
