WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)--Steamed lobster, hickory grilled bison with wild huckleberry reduction, apple pie, sour cream ice cream and wine. Food fit for a newly inaugurated President and Vice President, not to mention several hundred guests which include members of Congress, the Supreme Court, and Cabinet members.
Wednesday the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) announced the menu for the 2013 Inaugural Luncheon that will be served inside the Capitol on January 21.
Virginia companies are playing a big role in the Inaugural Luncheon. The menu was created by members of the JCCIC along with a catering company from Arlington--Design Cuisine.
Flower arrangements are being designed by Jesse Bailey of Jack Lucky Floral in Alexandria.
Rep. Charles Schumer (D-NY) is chairing the JCCIC and the wines being served at the inaugural luncheon are from Schumer's home state.
