Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - The Green Bay Packers look to have some
reinforcements in the backfield for Sunday's tilt with the Detroit Lions, as
the team listed rookie running back Eddie Lacy as probable on Friday's injury
Lacy sustained a concussion in the Packers' Week 2 win over the Washington
Redskins and it kept him out of the team's following contest against the
The rookie running back is expected to return to field this Sunday, however,
following Green Bay's bye week. Lacy was a full participant in all three of
the Packers' practice sessions this week.
Linebacker Clay Matthews (hamstring) and tight end Jermichael Finley
(concussion) left Green Bay's contest against the Bengals hobbled, but both
practiced enough this week to also be considered probable for Sunday.
James Starks will not be able to play this weekend, though, as the knee injury
he suffered in the Packers' last game will keep him sidelined. Cornerback
Casey Hayward (hamstring) and guard Greg Van Roten (foot) are also out.
