MORNINGSIDE, Md. - Saturday, October 5th, 2013 is your chance to learn how to play tennis with some of the world's best players - for free and no matter how old you are. Don't worry: you don't have to be an expert, but it is a great opportunity brushing up on your own tennis games, if you have some.

The event is called T3 - Thanking our Troops through Tennis Event. It is a series of tennis clinics joint Base Andrews for individuals of all ages and playing abilities (beginner to advanced).

You can learn all aspects of the game from four former tour players.

Taking part is Dick Stockton, a tennis champion and T3 founder who was once ranked as the eighth best tennis player in the world. 

"It's a great opportunity to show support for our military families, with a positive and healthy activity," he says.

He will be joined by former Wimbledon Champion Stan Smith, International Tennis Hall of Fame member Gigi Fernandez and Wimbledon Ladies Doubles Champion Joanne Russell.

T3 is an initiative of the non-profit entity Blue Sky Foundation, Inc., created to show support for our troops, by holding tennis clinics at military bases around the country.

Where and when?

Saturday, October 5th, 2013

Clinics will conduct throughout the day (9:00am - 2:30pm), outside the West Fitness Center at Joint Base Andrews. In the event of rain, the clinics and match will be held inside the West Fitness Center.

What does it cost?

Nothing. It is for free.

What should you bring?

Bring a racquet if you have one. If not, one will be provided for you.
