PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The sixth and final person to plead guilty in a long-running kickback scheme that cost the U.S. Navy $18 million has been sentenced.

Mary O'Rourke was sentenced Friday in federal court in Providence to five years of probation, the first nine months of which must be served in home confinement.

She was also ordered to pay nearly $500,000 in restitution and perform 1,000 hours of community service

O'Rourke was an executive at Georgia-based contractor Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow and the girlfriend of the scheme's mastermind, Ralph Mariano.

Mariano would add money to Navy contracts held by the contractor, and it funneled millions back to him and others. Mariano is serving a 10-year prison term. Others in the scheme have been sentenced to home confinement, probation, or prison time.

O'Rourke apologized in court.
