There is no trouble in Porta de Rossi paradise, saysEllen DeGeneres on her Wednesday talk show.
The star felt compelled to address stories that havesurfaced in the last several months saying she and her actress wife are headed for a split.
Here's what DeGeneres says in denouncing the rumors:
"You know, I don't usually pay attention to tabloids and gossip magazines. Unless I'm standing in a long line at the grocery store. Then I devour them like pudding. No, I'm kidding. I don't go to the grocery store," DeGeneres jokes on her show today.
"So the other day I was at the hair salon getting these extensions put in. And there was a tabloids all over hair salons. That's where they are, I guess.... (and on one of them) Portia and I were in the top right-hand corner. And I thought, 'Oh that's so sweet, they're honoring us.' But then I read the headline underneath. And it said: 'Ellen and Portia Marriage Crumbles.' And I was like, 'Oh, what happened? They seemed so happy.' And then I was like, 'Wait, I'm Ellen.' And I should know if that was happening."
She goes on to say, "There's not one ounce of truth to any of it. I'm very happily married. In fact, the only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more. That is all. It really is true."
And she adds, "I don't know how many stories are out there about me. I don't Google myself, I don't pay attention to paparazzi pictures. I don't wanna know. It's like if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear, who cares who wore it better?"
If there's an announcement to be made about her life, DeGeneres promises, "I'll announce it here first."
