WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A local couple welcomed twins born a year apart... sort of.
The two adorable twins joined the world three minutes apart, with one born in 2013 and the other in 2014.
A girl, Lorraine Yaleni Begazo, was born 11:58 p.m. on New Year's Eve at Washington Hospital Center. Her brother Brandon Ferdinando Begazo was born the next day at 12:01 a.m.
Father Warren Begazo knew it was coming, but it was the timing that made it very emotional.
Lorraine checked into the world at 6 pounds, 4 ounces while her little brother weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces. Mother Yaleni Tohalino was doing just fine after the twins were born.
Big brother Dylan Begazo always asked for siblings, and says his father didn't want him to be alone.
Warren Vergazo says it's been a long time since he changed diapers but he's ready for it.
The twins are going to have a great story to tell when they grow up!
