Recent robberies and arrests in DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police have released the following information on recent robberies in the DC area due to community concerns:

• On December around 8:13 p.m., an adult male was arrested after he grabbed the register from an establishment located on the 400 block of 8th Street, SE, and then fled. 

• On December 22 around 3:18 a.m., an adult male was arrested after three suspects assaulted a man in the area of Adams Mill Road and Calvert Street, N.W. Police are searching for the other two suspects who are black males and one of them was wearing a fitted baseball hat and the other suspect was wearing dark clothing.

• On December 23 around 11:30 p.m., two juvenile males were arrested after they showed a victim a handgun and then stole her purse in the 1400 block of T Street, NW.

• On December 22 at approximately 1:21 a.m., an adult male was arrested after he robbed a victim, took his cell phone, wallet and money. The incident happened at the 4800 block of Kansas Avenue, N.W.

• On December 23 around approximately 12:27 p.m., an adult male was arrested after a robbery at the 3500 block of 14th 

Police advise that anyone who is the victim of a crime or witnesses a crime in progress should call 911 immediately.
