WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Five people have been arrested and charged for multiple robberies in the DC metro area, police said.
They are believed to be responsibly for 46 known burglaries, with a total value of merchandise estimated at $77,000. All of them occurred in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. They would go to retail cellular telephone stores and remove cellular phones and other items of value.They received cash for selling the stolen items, police said.
The five people involved include 22-year-old Christopher Brice of Southeast, DC; 20-year-old Taiwo Johnson, of Southeast, DC; 22-year-old Dasheem Smith of Northeast, DC; 22-year-old Dalvez Watkins of Suitland, Md., and 24-year-old Darien Wilson of Northeast, DC., police said.
All five have been charged with 'Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime'.
