WASHINGTON (WUSA) - It has been a busy weekend for the Metropolitan Police Department.
- Police say a man was stabbed in the leg in northeast D.C. late Friday evening outside around 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Trinidad Avenue N.E.
- There were at least 6 armed robberies across the district overnight Saturday. We're told mostly iPhones and other electronics were taken.
- Police say a man was shot multiple times on 1300 Savannah Street S.E. around 2:30 a.m. Saturda. He was taken unconscious to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as Jason A. Murphy, 30, of New Carrollton, Maryland. Police are offering a $25,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest or conviction.
- There were two additional shootings. The first happened late Saturday on 17th Street S.E. where a man was shot in the chest. Police say another two men were shot on Columbia Road N.W. around midnight.
