JARRETTSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) - At least one person is dead after a barn collapses in Harford County.

It happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of North Furnace Road in Jarrettsville.

That's where authorities found a worker trapped in the attic of a one-and-a-half story barn.

The roof gave way and the structure collapsed.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s, died about 20 minutes later.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The owner says the barn was about 30 years old. The roof was only about a year and a half old.

He says he'd just met the victim and his coworker.
